BGL partners with OneVue to provide automated end to end processing solution for SMSFs

Sydney, 14 May 2010 - BGL Corporate Solutions Pty Ltd (BGL) and OneVue Limited (OneVue) have developed the first genuine end to end Self Managed Superannuation Fund (SMSF) establishment, transaction, administration and reporting solution.

Working together, the end to end solution automates the flow of data between BGL’s market leading SMSF administration software, Simple Fund, and OneVue’s Unified Managed Account (UMA). With some clever and complementary technologies, the automated data feed automatically loads all previous day transactions removing the need for advisers, accountants and fund administrators to process transactions manually.

“The time and cost savings are amazing” says BGL’s Managing Director Ron Lesh. “While others in the SMSF market claim to have automated data feeds, BGL and OneVue have developed something that actually works”.

BGL’s Simple Fund software already has the largest number of data feeds available in any SMSF administration solution and over 75% of all SMSF’s are administered with Simple Fund. Simple Fund currently supports data feeds from well over 100 sources including banks, brokers, financial institutions, platforms and financial planning software suppliers. With tight integration between BGL and OneVue’s UMA, the software can now accept data from virtually any source including OneVue’s separately managed accounts (SMA).

BGL clients can also access their data 24/7 through Portal by BGL. Portal provides live web access to data and reports as well as delivering documents automatically to advisers, auditors and trustees.

“Over the 15 years we have been in business we have seen many software suppliers come and go. The problem today however is that much of the data is now kept in the cloud and if the supplier fails, the administrator will lose access to all the data. Imagine the cost and the client inconvenience of trying to recreate hundreds of fund ledgers and the related audit issues. This is very scary indeed.”

“Both BGL and OneVue are focused on the customer experience. Our technologies are just the enablers and we have been fortunate that between us we have all the pieces needed to deliver a seamless SMSF experience” Connie Mckeage Global CEO of OneVue stated. AFS Group will be an early adopter of this service when it launches SMSF Select to its advisers in June.
